Generally enjoyable.
A lot of social commentary crammed in there. The actors did pretty well maintaining that amount of issues, each with very limited time to develop or explore it. Intriguing as it was frustrating. Far, far too heavily reliant on over-long music video scenes to capture the mood. Have a scene without talking, fine. But don’t bloat it with music forced to the foreground. Inspired me to skip ahead once or twice.
The story seemed like it was trying to force a multi-month time period into, what, three days? That was oddly infuriating.
Actors were enjoyable to watch. A good cast. Although, while famous names do bring viewers, they can also heavily distract from the story. “Hey look! It’s Kevin Bacon! Neat to see him acting like a survivalist!” Etc… This was one of those cases. Possibly that was necessary for this film, though, because the overnight-supersociety-deer were a bit off-putting.
Ps: when cars are coming at you down the road, you *pull to the side*. Every one does. Watch a damn video or two. Only in movies do drivers stay on the road dodging oncoming traffic.
