If you want a million dollar high budget film you can keep looking. I honestly think the bad reviews are from people who don't primarily watch Christian movies. It's very relevant to today's world. Economic down fall, chaos, people turning against each other and the lack of government to step up and protect the country. The primary characters are the children who are dealing with a changing world, loss of the world and life they envisioned and struggling to heal the past all while trying to survive. It shows that no matter what we need to keep our Faith. It deals with right and wrong and moral issues. Yes, children are shooting guns. I'm not a crazy conservative nor a Bible thumper, but I see the importance of being able to protect your family and to provide as well. I enjoyed watching it and will be watching it again with my oldest son.
