Truly a beautiful rendition of a live-action based on an anime. The CGI was wonderful, truly immersing you in this futuristic world of chaos, dirt, grime, machines and a whole lot of cutthroat living. I respect the making of this film because in a world where most live-action adaptations of anime/manga usually end up living a bad taste in the mouth, I'm actually looking forward to sequel. Now I'm not overeating this film because as beautiful as it was it had some parts that deserve some negative critique. But still, for such a complex project this is a truly a deserving result. I'm looking forward to more of this. And let me just say this Cameron does not disappoint, Rodriguez is absolutely marvelous ( some of the best hand combat fighting sequnces I've seen in ages ).
