I normally really love The Project, love Jesse, Kanoa and Jeremy et al. But I can't help saying how disappointed I was at the the woman who was interviewed this week from the Family Planning Clinic. Jesse asked her why 30% of the population might be against a change of law, and she basically said because they are selfish people, "not thinking / concerned about the women involved." That's a thoroughly incorrect piece of information. The reason is because 30% of NZers think that abortion kills a child, and under the Crimes Act, the only time it is legal to do that is when it is a case of self-defence. No matter how great the problem, in principle, killing another is never an ultimate solution.
