Sorry to say that I am somewhat disappointed in this remake, having been a fan of the original novela in the 1990s starring Margarita Rosa de Francisco and Guy Ecker. It lacks the wonderful chemistry of the original. Laura Londoño is lovely but William Levy’s performance seems flat much of the time — though he is definitely easy on the eyes LOL. I actually find Lincoln Palmeque far more convincing in the role of Salinas. Overall this production is okay and I’ll keep watching, but it leaves much to be desired.
