This has the potential of being a truly great show. Think Supernatural meets The Originals without the limits of network television.
Unfortunately, it needs a LOT of work to get there. Most of the writing is bad, as is most of the the acting. Take Jack who witnesses the vaporization of his grandfather and simply yells, "No!" without shedding a tear or any semblance of mourning thereafter.
Then he gets pissed off and destroys the steering wheel of his truck only to get into an argument about wanting the keys so he can drive off. How exactly would that work?
Perhaps The Order is intentionally absurd, with bad writing and poor acting on purpose so as to invoke a B-Movie vibe. As is, the show would make a great two seasons on CW before the kids who laughed at it no longer found it trendy to do so.
Try not to take this show seriously because it's not meant to be.
