I watched the first ep., had to punch out. It's just not very well written. We view the Venture Brothers as being "Clever" because they respect the genre, and what it is they're satirizing. The mainstream Marvel Comics/Cinematic universes have plenty of material that could be mined for comedy. But MODOK isn't up to the task. A damned good example of how to do it right is the Harley Quinn cartoon. It's funny, snarky and observational, but Superman is still Superman - All the heroes are still their canonical selves. It's just a view of that universe on a level we don't get to see normally. I just got done with "Invincible" this weekend, a different look at a similar established Universe. There's a lot of good genre content out these days, so Marvel needs to level up. A rare misstep from them.
