A superbly done documentary on a true genius of a General. A humble man with humble beginnings, that never panicked in the face of adversity. His mastery of the war effort saved the Union. His bravery in the Mexican war goes hardly unnoticed. As President he faced the problems of Reconstruction and a south still upset that slavery was gone. The KKK arose and he had to use martial law to quell it. It's a shame that when the public saw the drawing of him with the cigar in his mouth, they sent him 5000 cigars, unfortunately this is what ended his life. Grant was a great leader, a superb general and patriot president looking for justice for all
