The cinematography and stylistic choice set it in what initally seemed to be a intriguing and unique modern vintage film and take on Dracula. The references in spongebob sparked my interest originally. What ensued was unexpected to see the least. While there were elements of horror with an unsettling achromatic lighting, some jump scares, and a unsightly and powerful monster, it felt the potential for such a fantastic setup was wasted on a blatantly odd and decently disturbing, sexually focused dynamic between knockoff Dracula and the protagonist. The acting was top notch but it's hard to recommend when you come out of the movie feeling nothing but slight disgust and dissatisfaction.
