The film brings back the dark, investigative tone we’ve come to expect from the HIT series, with a complex murder mystery that keeps you guessing. The visuals are gritty, the pacing is more or less tight, and the mood stays consistent — perfect for fans who enjoy psychological thrillers. Adivi Sesh delivers a grounded performance again, bringing intensity to his role without overdoing it. You can tell he’s grown comfortable in this character.
That said, compared to Hit: The Second Case, the third part feels slightly less impactful. The twists, while clever, are somewhat predictable if you’re someone who has seen a lot of crime thrillers. The emotional connection with the victim or the stakes around the murder don’t hit as hard — it feels more cerebral than visceral.
Direction-wise, Sailesh Kolanu keeps things slick, but the climax could’ve been sharper. There are a few scenes that seem to stretch just for drama’s sake, which slightly pulls you out of the otherwise immersive world.
The background score works well, but the dialogues could have been crisper. Also, some side characters feel underutilized, despite the potential to deepen the narrative.
Verdict:
Hit 3 is a commendable continuation of the HIT universe — and if you’re following the franchise, it’s definitely worth watching. It’s not flawless, but it satisfies your craving for a smart, layered thriller, even if it doesn’t break new ground.
Ideal for: Those who enjoy serious crime procedurals, layered investigations, and don’t mind a slightly slow burn.
Not ideal for: Viewers expecting action-heavy or emotionally explosive content.
