'Extraction' is a power packed thriller. Dives directly into the story, without any beating around the bush, but fails with the character establishments.
I mean, except for Chris Hemsworth, the remaining characters were poorly established. Tyler Drake (Chris Hemsworth) is introduced as a guy with no interest on life, filled full of guilt. In a way, this mission feels like his redemption.
The action sequences were choreographed really well(well you know who made the movie), specially that continuous shot...it looks bloody natural (and there's so much of blood in it too😛). There are Shot guns, Snipers, Machine guns, and Bazookas( Bazookas were used like a revolver in some places😝).
Okay, the kid was saved at the cost of two lives(well, considering the lives of rescuers). Now the kid is left with the guilt like that of Tyler....I mean, seriously, same to same, and to potray this, they used the same-water-diving-and-thinking-in-the-water shots🤪.
It's a good watch but don't talk Philosophy, Poetry, character arcs or anything that's related to cinema.
