I wanted so much to like this movie. However, the wearisome sound track, tedious dialogue and just...so much downright misery, had me wanting to scream. It's depressing and without hope.

I'm surprised by the overall low scores here. I found it tense, scary and extremely well acted.

Plodding and labored. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze for this.

Can’t understand the high reviews about this show. Maybe if one was American, it might be easier to keep up with the appalling, esoteric writing, and the awful, self-centered sense of entitlement. Beautiful, young bodied teens and beautiful scenery. Other than that, it’s a yuck from me, but each to their own.

I’m at a loss to understand how this dross achieved 92%. Dull and cliched.

I must be missing something with this show, because the reviews are great. I'm up to episode five of the first series, and I've only come this far because everyone's raving about it. I don't understand. It's heavily cliched, terribly edited and totally unoriginal. Even the character names, for goodness sake; Hieronymus Bosch! Escobar, the nasty DA! The lead character, divorced (sigh), struggling with quitting smoking (yawn), having relationship problems with his estranged daughter (barf). Terrible, terrible, terrible. I won't be watching any further.

This was really well made, but completely implausible. I understand that, while watching a movie, we are asked to suspend reality a little. But this movie portrays itself as a serious, pragmatic look at a flight to another planet. It is not presented as fantasy. Almost immediately, by some miracle, some ground engineer is discovered, wedged into a space way above floor level, into a space which requires him to be almost folded into. Also, on this X year long trip, he has managed the only piece of equipment, which is both vital, and has no redundancy - or spares. There are many more plot holes, and nonsense, making the whole thing childish and to be honest, insulting to ones intelligence. Sorry, but for me this movie is treats the audience like ten year old school boys. From the vital, but singular, no spares piece of kit, to the ludicrous space walks, retrieving gas cylinders, it's just complete nonsense. Some of the cinematography and effects are lovely and impressive, but it's all just too implausible to merit attention.

Rene'e's performance is astonishing. However, the movie's pace is glacial, and it neither shows us enough of the highlights of Judy's amazing career, nor the harrowing lows of addiction. The awful loneliness and depression from which she suffered, is shown as random little moments dotted erratically here and there, so we never get a sense of her suffering, nor share in the euphoria of her glorious performances. Slow, erratic and un-engaging.
