If you have never read the books you will likely find this enjoyable to watch but not stellar. If I had not read the books (3 x through) I would give this 3 stars. The problem is I DID read the books. As much as I tell myself this is an adaptation, I unfortunately cannot convince myself to even call it that. It is an extremely disrespectful adulteration of Robert Jordan’s life’s work. Imagine the outcry if Jackson’ adaptation of Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings was this bad! The writers, directors, producers should all be ashamed and embarrassed by what they gave us. I waited so long for this and have never been so disappointed.
