This movie would have worked if the two main characters had any chemistry. They don't. Also, Common's acting was sooooooo horrible, you almost cringe in some scenes. Queen is always great, but she couldn't save this one. Now...if you are looking for a good story line...it is not too bad. It is worth seeing, just try not to believe that Common knows how to act...he doesn't

Good movie...definitely a girl flick. I love the love story and the main two characters--Sanaa Latham (Kenya McQueen) and Simon Baker (Brian Kelly), but I absolutely hated all other supporting characters in the movie (besides her girlfriends which were all okay). It was the screenplay (needed another few edits) and the acting. The actor who plays the brother is annoying in the movie, and the mother (Alfre Woodward) is so awful that when I watch this in re-runs, I fast forward out every scene she is in within the movie. Yes...she is just that bad. One of the worse acting jobs I have ever seen captured on film. Just awful. But you will love Sanna and Simon together and their on and off and on love story. Great chemistry and a very sweet movie.
