Always enjoy watching Countryfile. But recent programme I feel went over the top on its presentation of the programmes animal welfare credentials. How can any cover of animal welfare not include at least a mention of animal slaughter. Its the elephant in the room! My country of so called animal lovers Yet we allow un-stunned halal slaughter taking place every day. Witnessing a young sheep standing in its own blood, a picture any animal lover would not be able to forget.

Definitely lots of atmosphere and tension. Maybe leave a visit to Tehran out of world tour!

Programme has its up's and downs but easy viewing mostly. Guaranteed love stories are never without problems!
