From the outset you're wondering if the script was written by a high school illiterate dropout. The writing is weak. The characters are lame. The guy in particular is annoying as a stubborn splinter. The effects are cheap and ineffective. I could go on but this movie totally consumed me of my will to live. Avoid at all cost. Time is precious. Save yourself. It's too late for me.

Take it for what it is: Liam Neeson doing what Liam Neeson does best! I thoroughly enjoyed it even the absolute absurdity of it all - it made the ride even more thrilling! The characters are decent enough and I'm now officially a fan of Fan Bing Bing if only for her awesome name! It checks all the boxes which you'd expect from a typical bad guy good guy movie with an average budget. Worth a watch if you like this genre.

If you grew up watching classic action films like Die Hard then trust me, you'll love this! Delivers everything it's supposed to: good guy, bad guy, over the top story line, crazy effects, hero never dies and the world is a safer place once more! Viola Davis rocks everything she is in but this was a step away from the norm and she still nails it. A good dose of good old American cheesing as the superpower country the world needs but won't hold that against the film. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Wouldn't mind a part 2!!

As far as classic exorcism films go I feel that this one delivers on every level! So many have been made and you are always left feeling dissatisfied and even blah but not with this one. The acting is excellent, the script is sharp and you actually care about the main characters. The scares are aplenty which is what we want, lets be honest. I am hoping that a sequel is in the making as there is real potential for a franchise here which would be as successful as The Conjuring films. A must watch!

I grew up watching films like this so for me this was a win win especially with Jason Bateman playing the heartless bad guy. Story moved along swiftly and you definitely got caught up in the tension of it all. Taron spent most of the film running like Tom Cruise (must be a short guy thing) but he delivered. Films like this are enjoyable because they border on the unrealistic and improbable and this was exactly both those things! You will be entertained and hooked from beginning to end, what more could you want?!

I don't know why so many people have slammed this movie. It's not all that bad. In fact, I'll go as far to say that I actually quite enjoyed it and I'm an 80's kid! The retro return to the not so distant past was okay but the acting and the characters actually got me invested. It delivered what you'd expect and had a nice neat ending. The soundtracks helped move the story along at a good pace. If you like time travel films and you're a Gen Z kid you're gonna love it!

A complex and intricately woven tale which encapsulates a variety of themes beyond the expected. A terrific cast who you really grow to care for and the way it's shot you feel like it's more of a theatrical production in an intimate setting. Yes it's a ghost story but it's so much more than that. It's predecessor may have succeeded with all the textbook scares and chills but the range of emotion you'll go through when watching this is unparalleled. You won't initially understand and you'll need to stick it out to episode 8 but it's totally worth it. The final episode just killed me with its heart wrenching portrayal of love and loyalty and grief and good old fashioned pain. That closing scene is just too much to bear. You'll be left feeling deeply sad but what a masterfully written saga which you'll not forget in a hurry.

What a disappointingly predictable movie. Average acting from mediocre characters who never really brought anything to the screen aside from their zero chemistry. Jokes were almost extinct and it mirrored every romantic trope found in similar genres in absolutely every way. Basically a promotion for Thai tourism which could have been achieved in 10 minutes and not the 90 we were forced to endure in the hopes that maybe, just maybe, it would deliver something orginal. Lazy film making riding on the hopes that the two washed out leads could elevate it to success. Alas. They simply could not.

The worst thing about this movie? The entire movie. The best thing about this movie? The reviews.

This film had so much potential with a fairly stellar cast and the storyline could have gone in so many directions but instead it chose to go in the direction of stupid. It was an injustice to the two lead female actors and the ending was beyond ridiculous. Struggled to find anything I liked about this film and trust me I persevered to the end hoping I would find something positive to stay but it remains as a dumb film and I lost some brain cells for having watched it.
