warning: if you watch this you will be severely sad and you might not even be happy with the ending. but waves played with my emotions better than any other movie out there. UNPOPULAR OPINION in my opinion i do understand where tyler was going through. what he did was horrible but i still understand what he went through. the cinematography in this film is genuinely amazing, some of the best use of camera work i’ve ever seen.

the cgi is still very beautiful as the first movie, but there are more cons than pros. firstly the songs weren’t catchy at all and uninspiring, the first movie had catchy songs that felt like they moved the story along, but the sequel just had songs that the characters would sing while nothing interesting was happening and the songs didn’t have any meaning. the new characters are cringe and boring, they had nothing special about them and every time one was on screen i would just sigh. they had a good plot but executed it poorly. it didn’t invoke any emotion in me. my friend literally fell asleep half way through the movie. also can we talk about the ending???? moana died and the power of music and ancestry revived her????
