Personally, I found the movie to be rather predictable and followed the typical tropes of a dystopia and didn't even bother trying to be clever. This made the movie painstakingly slow and boring, which truly is a shame, considering the message of The Lorax. Speaking of which, Illumination downplayed Dr. Seuss's message with the ending *TAME SPOILERS* that ended on a hopeful note, whereas the book ended with a grim conclusion, which is why I personally think that The Lorax book remains one of the most enduring of all the Dr. Seuss classics. Also, the main antagonist is extremely weak in terms of character. In short, you'd be much better off watching Horton Hears a Who! than waste an hour or so on the movie.
