I applaud Chris for attempting to make a film, but he has a lot to learn from the massive failure that is this movie. Very strong hook but very quickly loses momentum with a poor script that gives the characters an aura of stupidity and a plethora of pretty much every bad horror trope that makes viewers cringe. Lots of plot holes and convenient plot devices that make the film very predictable. Shelby Oaks is a film student's submission for an assignment that would maybe get a C for effort. I would have thought Chris would know more of what makes a horror film good with his whole career being reviewing other films, but Shelby Oaks shows that there is much more to learn for him, and I hope that he does and gives us an amazing memorable film, because this film is very forgettable.
