It was very bomb-y and sexist which is why so many lives were lost during that time. Poor Florence Pugh's character was reduced to boobs and angst which was so reductive of who Jean Tatlock was. I am sure the scientific facts were the most accurate and the bomb scenes were spectacular in the IMAX format and I would have liked to be able to see it that way. But it is inaccessible to most viewers both in location and cost of admission. It is clearly a movie for the upper class. The acting was top notch which is why I was engaged through the 3 hours. There were a lot of very big name actors in it, playing surprisingly small roles. They were all very well acted. The period sets, score, and editing were very effective. The story is worth knowing which is why I needed to see the movie. I'm not sad I saw it, just glad I didn't pay $23.
