Where do you start with this one. Terrible on every level. Characters are so unlikeable it's unbelievable which is the fault of the writers rather than the actors themselves. Legacy characters are pivotal to these modern remakes (scream shows and Halloween to a certain degree on how to handle them properly) but this wastes its chance with developing the story with its legacy character to be merely throw away. And the gore man...the gore 😂😂 there's half a films worth of it rammed into the first 20 minutes which completely detracts from the bus massacre scene which loses so much of it power and impact due to this. It's watchable but bar that it's woeful

Overall the first 3 seasons are very good. Season 1 is a great bona-fide slasher and does show that slasher genre can be a good episodic show. Season 2 was again very well done and very "I know what you did last summer" vibes and shows the cruelty of teens and if you scratch the surface no one is a Saint. Season 3 does fall off the wagon but enjoyable. All the killers were interesting and all had very real and different motives for what they did. However it loses a star for the excessive gore which is used far too often with graphic detail which loses its appeal very quickly and each kill becomes just uncomfortable to watch and season 3 hits the top for this. I had the same critique of texas chainsaw (Netflix) too much gore rammed down your throat makes the impact of it less effective imo. Recommend watching it and looking forward to season 4!

Tbh it’s a hard one to give a review for You’d be hoping to see the nice finality to the full story and maybe bring it all full circle and end it on a nice emotional note....but no the force was definitely absent in this film Lazy writing kills it before it even starts, the shoehorning of The emperor into it with absolute no back story sends this film into a spiralling snowball of forced nostalgia and an ending scene that is sadly so underwhelming its unreal. This all gives the rise of sky walker a crammed feeling in order to get the saga done with The old guard once again steal the show with the small spatterings of leia in the movie being one of the small saving graces of the film in a whole, the plot line regarding Rey is lazy and uninventive. JJ must clearly hate rhian cause he pretty much uses the film to disregard everything that happened in the last Jedi and the 1D acting also brings a cardboard to the film which spoils the finality feel to it. After sitting through the triple bill one thing from Disneys Star Wars is evident. Too many cooks spoil the broth and it’s a flat ending to a franchise that basically is my childhood. This suffers the same film tinkering that Killed the justice league and ruined the vision that Snyder had for the DC universe and same has happened here. So much promise but sadly falls at the final hurdle
