Did they think they were making Hamilton ? I had no idea there were so many African-English people In Georgian British aristocracy . I believe at that time slavery was still legal on Britain . I applaud the producers efforts to do something different and portray the African-English in such a positive light . The story is bloody boring though. The only action is a boxing match between two black men - a reversion to racial stereotypes. The story is a spoof of upper class English manners and courtship . The black actors are the only thing that enlivens this show. It is watchable. It’s a bit like downtown abbey meets black panther.

Love the show . Watched both feature films and both seasons of the tv series. Jay swan is a great guy. So manly yet sensitive. The indigenous cast and outback location are terrific. Good solid acting from indigenous people some of whom I assume are amateurs. It’s interesting they refer to themselves as “black” although they are native people of Australia, not descended from Africans. Some are very dark and others quite light indicative of interbreeding with whites . Yet they all consider themselves black , as do American black people. Only criticism of the show is the plot of the 4 story lines is pretty much the same: detective jay swan over comes resistance of corrupt local cops, solves the crime, captures or kills the bad guys who are ususlly druggies, bikers, and dirty cops or local officials. Nevertheless well worth watching. If you like cop shows you will like this. Don’t forget: there are two feature length films and 2 series seasons. Aloha

Preposterous . Scientifically absurd . Not even a good story. It was apocalypse now meets space odyssey meets alien meets father knows best. The shooting on the moon on moon buggies was kind of cool but I saw in in the trailers so it wasnot a surprise . It takes years to get to mars and many more to get to Jupiter Saturn and Neptune. Brad Pitt did it in a few week. Warp speed mr sulu?
