Violet Rong

I love how the author had created a hopeful atmosphere even after all the tragedy Gracie had come through. This is a story about pure love and how the character Gracie overcame the low point of her life and eventually lived her life to the fullest. During war time, it was not easy to be positive about life but the story had portrayed the importance of following your heart and finding happiness for yourself. Sometimes, a good story does not need an extremely dramatic scenario. Even though many of us cannot relate to the story as we happen to be lucky living in nowadays, the author delivered the message that don't be too upset when you lose your hope because life is fulled of different possibilities. It's very inspiring and I really love that Gracie was such a strong woman who was not afraid to stand up for herself and not underestimate her value.
