I must have been watching something completely different to these reviews. Ad Astra was slow, boring and after about an hour had me wanting to rip my own eyeballs from their sockets. The only way I can describe it is by referring to ‘Mr Beans Holiday’! Why you might ask? Well! The film that Defoe makes for the Cannes film festival, where he is just walking and droning on about himself and life constantly, that’s Ad Astra, just set in space! It’s two hours of my life I will never ever ever get back. But, that’s just my opinion. Watch it and see for yourself.
