A perfect balance of vivid likeable characters, immersive and believable world building, and a plot that works like intricate clockwork. The action of six of crows never lets up but the piece still breathes with a fluid interplay between perspectives, flashbacks, set pieces and pockets of prose. A book as difficult to write out as the heist is plan out.
