No, just no. I am so tired of average, pointless, cash grabbing dramas. It's so obvious that this one was run because it had all the elements that get good rating.
I don't mind cliches, but it gets a bit hard to tolerate them when every story is the same, and when the execution is pitiful. A wattapd level of creative plot in which two lovers are torn apart when the girl is forcefully married by her greedy family members to an old man for sweet cash. The kind of plot 14 year olds write and look back on with shame and embarrassment.
The characters have the emotional capacity and complexity of a broken teacup: the 'damsel in distress' who can't go 10 minutes without crying, the 'unrequited macho lover', the 'villain just for the sake of it' with no reason for conflict, the 'other villain just for the sake of it', both of whom have the personality and emotional depth of a used McDonald's tissue paper.
Stop, just stop watching these mediocre dramas, giving them ratings and encouraging more mediocre dramas to be made.
And the soundtrack, my God! The detestable soundtrack that they play every 3 minutes, because they don't trust their audience enough to realize that this part is important and 'shocking', mainly because the writing is so bad that without the soundtrack, nobody would know. It grinds my ears.
Just another bad, poorly executed, pointless drama in the sea of terrible dramas. I gave it a one star because there isn't any lower rating available.
