I think it is far-fetched, disconnected from and deceiving the people it is representing in its portrayal. The fantasy fiction of Nida Manzoor's characters does not gel with the Islamic landscape they inhabit.
The overarching theme of love of music, Western music in particular, flies in the face of the religiosity the characters portray. Their liberal disposition towards music contradicts the characters and the community it is trying to promote.
It will get the big thumbs up from the liberal leftist audience but ignored and possibly rebuked by the people it is representing.
The comedic element of the show is at best Young Adult, more suited to MTV or Nickelodeon.
