Tiffaney the Enchanted

Thought I was going to watch just one, ended up binging 3. 3 more to go...Impactful story telling and meaningful acting. Worth the watch!

This movie is for a specific fan set. I get the coming of age, identity exploration/ confusion trope. We all go through this.....The fog. The thick fog that you wander through. But this avant garde film feels like it stumbles along w/ you; More film school project and less polished presentation. I was in the actual 90's and there were films then, that presented similar ideologies and experiences a lot better.

The thought of quietly sitting with yourself, really sitting with yourself and coming back to silence. A sleeper that gets more awakened the further you watch. Who were you? Who do you want be? Who will you be? The review of life and the its uncomfortable existence. Sometimes hope can be blinding.

It feels like it should be regarded as a cheap CW/UPN knock off (shout out to my millennials) but its not. It grabs you and feeds you in a way of disbelief, but belief. Murphy is not possible, but here she is and all her glorious audacity. *Special note: Hi Pretzel! You've seen so much....

The rawness and reality of this film is quieting. Every inch of the journey pulls you into the echos of America. Not the photogenic screenshots, but the blurry avenues we drive around and avoid. I didn't waiver from the screen, not once. I know the haunts of this place. The cycle that feeds on, "nowhere to go". Welcome home.

A hot mess with confusing themes and unintelligible metaphors.

Glad they found better footing as this definatley redeemed the lack-lusterness of "The Nun". It involved more locations, better characters and added more involved folklore to the story. The effects were still obvious jump scares, but again better executed imagery.

Hauntingly human, in the best wrong way possible.

This movie should have been prefaced with if you like " The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", then....I did not. A LONG messy goofy movie with extreme abstract interpretation. Oscar worthy it is not.
