i know these shows have segments that add comedic statements towards recent big news around the world, but the BTS’ visit to the UN had no comedic or mockable factors in it whatsoever. the boys were simply there to show their activism, to tell the world the message that they want to portray especially towards the youth. the writers and james probably tried their hardest to be sooo funny on this one that they resorted to calling BTS’ participation/visit in the UN “unusual”, and called the group’s very diverse fandom into this stereotype of being comprised of “15 year-old girls.” i used to support james and this show since one direction guested in it, but what was said about BTS in the show recently really wasn’t funny or mockable in any way, shape, or form. it was plain rude and unnecessary. do better.
