Very slick but lacking an emotional punch. Great music though. Spike Lee and the stellar cast delivered a good movie. With a better plot and a less simplistic, more focused storyline this could’ve been a great movie. What started as a tale about a music mogul morphed into a pretentious and often ludicrous cat and mouse thriller, ending with a senior citizen super hero (Denzel) singlehandedly capturing the young villain. We were never given the opportunity to get to know the characters whose lives were in peril, (Tre and Kyle) so we really didn’t care what happened to them. And we really weren’t given any reason to care whether King got his ransom money back or not…

Frantically wonderful! And then that final scene in the car with the two standout actors (Mikey Madison and Yuriy Borisov) is a gut punch reminder that there are some serious messages behind all the crazy comedic scenes.

Boring gratuitous gore, ludicrous fight scenes with David versus Goliath/ Godzilla pairings and predictable results. Spoiler: the lead character in the movie always wins. But nice scenery and converting the coliseum into an ocean for the water battle was a triumph even if it wasn’t entirely real.

"...full of sound and fury signifying ,,," what exactly? Technically proficient but hard to engage with the characters who keep making seemingly poor choices for unknown reasons. There's a good reason why a war photographer would have telephoto lens but no rational reason why they wouldnt use them and stay out of the line of fire.

Show mostly about cops being extremely unprofessional and making bad choices. The villain is an absurd character who dons a wig and a police uniform while sporting a full beard and while committing crimes is mistaken for a female cop…because of the long hair? Another scene has cops walking into a house during the day for a search, not turning on the lights or opening curtains but pulling out flashlights…to add suspense? Don’t waste your time, bad script, poor acting, a few scenic shots…👎👎

Diana as presented in this pretentious drama is a one dimensional character, intended to be thought of as a saintly victim driven to near madness by "them". But instead she comes across as a self-absorbed narcissistic spoiled brat. It's not intended to be factual but didnt have to devolve into a ludicrous farce. 👎👎

Gets better as it goes along, but too much gratuitous violence (fistfights) where minutes later persons who were almost killed walk away like nothing happened. Acting is mediocre. Would appeal to a teen audience but adults may find it too juvenile.

Riveting. Once the attack starts in the hotel, the movie draws you in and you feel trapped and as helpless as the staff and guests must have felt. Superb acting by the principals. Watched it at home and could not take a break even for a glass of water. Lots of unanswered questions like why the local police (except for a few) didn't enter the hotel right away. The slow response from special forces was never explained. 10 hours to get from one city in India to another?
