Clever scripts, upbeat story line, phenomenal cast and guest stars. It is a guilty pleasure. Not my usual fare!

Caricature performances of the familiar characters from the series. And the unbelievable mayhem without retribution unleashed on his family and associates undermined an excellent portrayal by Alessandro Nivola. Michael Gandolfini is reduced to a minor player in this unfolding drama with too many plot holes. The promising outline of a movie centered on the fate of Harold McBrayer (Leslie Odom) amidst the backdrop of the Newark rebellion and rising militancy of its inhabitants was demonstrated as an incidental sidebar to the main theme. I expected too much.
