This has to be my favorite iteration of the show so far! The writing is hysterical, and the turtles actually feel like teenagers AND brothers. Weird how four turtles can seem more human than 87% of people in television. And best of all, the writers actually made me care about Leo! He's always been the bland guy to me but now he's just as important as the other three. From an art perspective, the turtle designs are great, the animation and posing are so crisp and clear--I can actually tell what's going on, which is so necessary for an action cartoon. I love the expressions, too. My only complaint is that the design for Splinter and a couple of background characters are arguably a little racist. I know Splinter was based off a pug and Danny Devito, but still, his eyes are a little...eh. But again, that's my only complaint. Overall, 9/10! My favorite TMNT cartoon so far!
