I found this book hard going. The characters seemed one dimensional. The setting only loosely described. A lot of the time, the actions of the characters seems bizarre and to follow no real logic. I felt a bit like I was reading some 1984 fan fiction rather than a genuinely new piece of fiction. I thought the premise of this book was interesting, and I wanted to enjoy it, but I really got nothing out of it! Would find it difficult to recommend or read another book by the author.
