Really great movie. I've been thinking about it for days since watching it. I want to address the reviews of people saying it negatively depicts religion. It absolutely does not. It is actually quite honest about religion. The film shows Veronica's devoutly Catholic mother as nothing short of loving, empathetic, and supportive. If everyone had such a loving, supportive, and empathetic Catholic mother the world would be a much better place. However, it also shows a family of fundamentalist evangelical Christians as exactly what fundamentalist adherents to any religion are. There are also the religious protesters at the abortion clinic - but they weren't particularly offensive and they stand outside almost every women's health clinic that just so happens to perform abortions in the country.
