Everyone knows where this game started, not enough people give it credit for where it's gone. Or how hard they doubled down, communicated with their audience, and worked to turn it around. They trusted their player base, and their team and that really has shown, which was a huge risk. You cannot please all the people all of the time, but one of the most frequent things you'll hear said about this online game is that it has the most positive and supportive community. New players are nearly always taken under the wing of veterans who've been around since the beginning, and the OG players see the same potential i'm talking about and want to embrace newcomers to keep the game alive, rather than stomp everyone for the lolz.
Technically an imperfect game that accidently spawned a community that makes continued play worth it, because you love who you're playing with and you know bethesda will eventually sort it out.
