Visually it is a masterpiece! The cinematography by Andrew Droz Palermo was very well done. Unfortunately I found it to be longer than necessary. I get that there are many people who have studied Arthurian tales and stories, for them this movie is perfect. It stays (for the most part) true to the original story.
For common folk like me who does not have a PhD in literature, i found it quite boring. Felt like a 30 minute art film that was asked to be stretched to 2 hours so they filled it in with a bunch of long conversations that don’t have much impact on the story. The Trailers definitely made it look like an epic 2 hours but the true film is just… not.
In summary, for someone who has not read the original literature. It is not very entertaining.
