Chris lives in a decent sized house. Surely the therapist could support Chris to explore life and job options? Consider taking a break or leaving job and retraining. Could take a drop in salary and downsize house in order to take a break and review his lifestyle. Needs to get away from the job for everyone's safety and sanity. Shouldn't be working alone and would have supervision. Doesn't seem plausible, everything relentlessly gloomy when it doesnt have to be - he has access to money and support
