Mind blown . I am writing this review without reading any reviews about beforehand. And that makes me even more less pretentious and more authentic to the true feelings that it evoked . There are good movies there are brilliant movies and there are just those movies who can’t be described as good or bad. They talk to you like a whisper (this is me trying my best to not be pretentious:-) ) at night . Like a dream that you wake up from and can’t remember what exactly happened in the dream but you remember the feeling . It doesn’t matter what happened in the picture , what matters and what remains is that you got to experience someone’s life and thought things with them, felt things with them. It’s like being by the sea side alone , you feel something very very prominent but yet invisible. I think I was lucky ( he he ) to have stumbled upon this film .

Couldn’t keep it down. The humour, the perspective of a child and the societal commentary .. just couldn’t put the book down I had started reading it without knowing anything about the plot or otherwise . Just knew it’s a famous novel and thus wanted to give it a go. The depth of understanding a child has with the simplicity of innocence.. it’s not that they can break it down to you.. they don’t have to .. they will make it easy to understand through their eyes. Heart wrenching and yet hopeful.. I was taken down memory lane of my own childhood and how I’d interpret the world around me.. and think why one behaved the way they did. Especially adults.. The characters make you feel that you have met them before, you know them, you are them. A perfect novel for me. It left a forever mark in my conscience.

To Kill a Mockingbird

Rani has convinced me that she can act yet again. The naïveté of her character can annoy you to some extent at some places, but when you get to know her and live her tragedy, you understand her pain and thus accept her how she is . A mother for who, her children are everything. On technical terms , kudos to the director!! As the movie was 3 hours, but so well paced that it didn’t feel like it. I could watch some more!
