The most amazing thing about the film is that it depicted a story that could happen in any family. It was a model of how a family and spouse dealt lovingly and compassionately with the condition of early-onset Alzheimer's. In spite of the serious topic, there was humor and esthetics that made it engaging and easy to watch.

This is a thorough report on what happened to American Education. The purpose behind the dumbing down of schools is explained; the people responsible for training the teachers are exposed. As a teacher in the 60's I witnessed the final erosion of teaching children how to read. This resulted in low level literacy skills and inability to think for millions of Americans. Change the teachers and you change the country. And how it has changed. This 500 page book is a well indexed reference. Probably not meant to be read cover to cover. But it you ever wondered what happened to Education this is where you can get answers.
