How can a book make you choke-up, bring wonderment, disgust, shock and joy all in one? One of the best, if not the best novel I have read.
Highlights the Islamic lands that were. The lands which housed hope, culture, humanity, joyfully oblivious children and imperfect people, just like any other. The lands which were forever tarnished, their vibrant light snuffed by the sparks of Russian, American and Tallie gunfire.

The actual plot of the film (if there even is one) could have been made in about 10 minutes. But, for a massi/masala film - it may deliver. However, one cannot expect to see any elements of a true cinematic experience.
