Nathan Hunt

Everyone who knew what to expect got exactly what they wanted out of this movie. Critics looking for character development in a giant monster movie are out of their minds. Of course the plot was predictable, but most importantly, scene to scene was executed well, including a couple of trope subversions (like a teenager who is magically an expert hacker). And it also correctly answered the most important question that some people were worried would be left hanging: which would win in a fight to the death?
