Excellent acting cannot compensate for predictable unfolding and slow, twist-free, surprise-free storytelling.

Was it just me or is the dialogue clunky? The twists unbelievable, character-wise? The plot progression so formulaic it feels like a march? The acting, as posturing as a pageant? The action scenes do not disappoint, so if you are just out for blood, this suffices.

Joker is a stab in the heart. There is appalling cruelty aplenty in it, then you realize that you have been that cruel person sometime in your life. I will watch it again to pick it apart, as there are loads of great cinema going on in every frame, which cant be done in one sitting.

The shallowest installment in the Annabelle franchise. A 10-minute horror house ride stretched into 2 hours. The scares are so mechanically manufactured, it feels like a laundry list of new creatures to be introduced for their own spin-offs later. The plot is so threadbare, it would not stand even for a TV episode. A Goosebumps movie is even scarier.
