Archie Andrews (KJ Apa), Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart), and Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) star in Riverdale, based on the Archie Comics. Riverdale is a darker dramatic take on the sinister events in a small town lurking beneath the placard of a quiet and safe ordinary small town. The four main characters meet up in the town of Riverdale where Veronica is returning as the new girl after living in New York with her parents. A former rich girl bully, Veronica has a new outlook on life since her father Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos), has gone to jail on fraud charges, and she has moved with her now single mother, Hermione Lodge (Marisol Nichols) back to the small town where the two of them, and their butler Smithers, are to adjust to life on a slightly lower rich person budget than they are accustomed to. Veronica becomes the nice girl who wins out for the heart of Archie against his girl-next-door-longtime-bestie Betty who has an unspoken crush on him. Soon, town-teen-detective Betty finds love with town-teen-reporter Jughead, and the two become the mystery solving duo who lead the force against taking down Riverdale’s mysterious bad-guys for the next three seasons.
