I'm quite on the fence for this game, but lean on the negative, because i think the amount of enjoyment you'll get out of it depends on what kind of marvel fan you are.
If you like all the marvel movies but don't know anything about marvel beyond them (like the comic books) then i couldn't recommend this game more. It manages to use the comic books for a majority of it's content, like the story and characters, in a way that wouldn't be jarring to someone who hasn't seen a even a page of the comics.
On the other hand if you're a major marvel fan who's read a lot of comic books and are keeping up with the current stories this game feels like a demo for a way bigger game. What i mean by that is it feels like a huge chunk of characters are missing who should be there, like the fantastic four, aren't there cause they aren't popular or haven't had any film adaptation which can leave you feeling pretty cheated.
I honestly think that this game could have been made to satisfy both groups which is why it's very disappointing to me. It's also disappointing to me mechanically. Mostly due to the fact that all the attacks look messy, washy and less polished than the previous games which came out over a decade ago so i definitely have to say to wait for it to go on sale no matter what kind of marvel fan you are, if you really want it.
