Based on how others are trashing this film, I'm wondering if we even saw the same movie. This is a pretty good motion picture, and easily superior to "The Conjuring 2", which was just a tired repeat of the vastly superior "The Conjuring." It helps if you think of 3 as a supernatural thriller rather than a conventional horror flick. This one skews towards action and investigation rather than jump scares and thanks to the flexibility and likability of the Warrens, it still works. In fact, I'd encourage this production company to think outside the box and rather than prep for a "Conjuring 4" film, opt for a limited run series on Netflix or some other streaming platform. The Warrens are ready for it, audiences are ready for it, the only question remaining would be, is Hollywood ready for it?
