I grew up with the Super Friends but with the exception of "Challenge of the Super Friends" SF was not the comic book (Justice League of America) that I read for years.. I did watch SF first before reading JLA but the latter was so action packed I felt SF was so inferior but I still watched.. Galactic Guardians was the FIRST time that HB actually really did JLA like it was in the comic.. Together with the Jose Luis Garcia Lopez designs and the addition of Teen Titan Cyborg it was a DC dream for me.. The only rival for me was the Ruby Spears Superman short lived cartoon which BTW had character designs by Gil Kane..
