As a Persian born America I was thrilled that finally someone was going to represent this group and I wanted to support it wholeheartedly but after watching just 2 episodes I realized that this was a an insult to people who are brought up in the Persian families and to all immigrants. Stupidity and inappropriate behavior is not equal to being brought up in an immigrant family. Not to mention that the values represented by the character and his family is completely the opposite of those brought up in Persian culture. Also from a general point of view the whole show looks completely unrealistic and Chad character doesn’t not look like a boy. He looks creepy and awkward. Maybe they should have talked to a few people with immigrant families and learned about their experiences before attempting to create such offensive and weird character.
