My First First Love started slow, it almost felt like they were just settling in with the characters and the locations and so on. It felt very slow and steady, it almost made me not comeback for the second season since I felt that the first season there was nothing truly there to grip me in and have me invested in the story and in the characters. I, then decided to continue on the second season out of curiosity and I really wasn’t expecting much. BUT OH MY GOD it turned out to be WAY more than I expected! I was reeled in immediately! The story flow was SO much better and the characters were so real and so relatable and raw even. The actors seriously out done themselves! Ji soo (Who plays Tae-o) killed it! Not only is he a freakin gorgeous face, but he can GO there...emotionally! It was acting at its finest. And Jung Jin Young (Who plays Do Hyeon) and Kang Tae oh (Who plays Hun who I found really annoying at first) seriously blew me away, their performances were fantastic and they provided some tear jerker scenes! The girls were incredible, Jung Chae Yeon (Who plays Han Song i) gave such a natural performance! Her acting was a delight to watch and Choi Ri (Who plays Ga rin) was whimsical and silly without being hysterical or crazy! I was seriously so happy about how the girls weren’t crazy and over the top like in a lot of kdramas, they had characters and were so fleshed out! The music and the set locations and cinematography were ALL an A+++! They were absolutely gorgeous aesthetics! It is a coming of age story and all of its dark sides and bright sides mixed in with some typical kdrama tropes, but it was done so tastefully that you barely feel that it is a typical kdrama! I give this 9/10!
