Lucus Trout

Two episodes in and this clearly suffers from the same sort of bloat that the Hobbit films did. Rather than build a 10 episode season out of Foundation book 1, it appears that we’ll be lucky if half the book makes it in. What replaces the book is a cartoonish villain and weird melodrama. I have to say the acting for the most part is fantastic. The visuals are amazing, although some weird visual choices and excessive CGI took me out of the world a bit.

A StarWars movie that did everything George Lucas wanted StarWars to do, push the visuals and the narrative. The Last Jedi innovates and deepens StarWars and filmmaking.
