4.5 / 5 loved the nostalgia and feeling like a complete story had been told. Just saw this last night, not know really what it was about. I had seen the shining several times and enjoyed it and think this movie is a really great continuation. It does have a rather long run time but always felt engaged with what the characters were struggling with. Felt like a more original story and Ewan McGregor did a great job making his character relatable. Didnt feel like it suffered from the subverting expectations trend alot have other movies have suffered from. Found myself looking for the connections and references to the original and other works of Steven king and was always excited to see the ways they tied in. Seeing the reviews and scores thou I think this movie deserves a much better score than alot of sites are giving it
